Taylor Jay is a storyteller guided by intention, community, and heart. With a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and a voice shaped by her Southern, Black, and queer roots, she creates work that centers marginalized narratives with care and cinematic grace. Whether writing a script or directing on set, Taylor’s work is grounded in truth, representation, and legacy.
Primarily a writer and director, Taylor has built a body of work dedicated to bold and necessary storytelling. She also holds a camera operator credit, an experience that further sharpened her eye for composition and strengthened her ability to bring stories to life both technically and artistically.
